About Me
I have worked in the hairdressing industry for over 30 years. I worked my way up to become Salon Manager, Art Director as well as owning my own successful business in England.
I worked in a large fashionable city centre salon in Nottingham. Over 8 years, as the business expanded I was given the opportunity to train apprentices, as well as style for London fashion shows and to experiment with innovative styling using cutting, colour and perming techniques.
I decided to open my own salon in the city centre. The salon became extremely successful and lucrative. After 9 years I went for a further challenge and took a job with Swartzkopf. Travelling around the country and working in the Bond Street Training Centre teaching colour and perming techniques to professionals.
I eventually returned to Nottingham to take a position of Art Director and manager for a group of 7 salons. I was responsible for deciding on the styles that were produced, overall control of the salons image and the training for the managers and their staff.
Following that I became a Placement Officer for the largest training agency in the East Midlands. Putting youngsters in to salons to train, and mentoring them during their apprenticeship.
I decided in January 2006 to live at La Cinuelica, Los Altos.
